Facts

The American University in Cairo's Career Center is a pioneer in the region in the area of university career education, employer relations and recruitment. It was established in 1991 to become the first university career center providing comprehensive career services in the Middle East. The center's areas of expertise and achievements include:

  • Hands on talent resourcing experience that draws on 20+ years of professional expertise
  • Professional career advising service provided by certified career development facilitator instructors and licensed assessors
  • Resume critique service supported by trained Peer Career Leaders (PCLs)
  • Serves more than 4500 students/alumni annually in areas of career advising, experiential learning and employment
  • Holds an employment fair each semester and has held 60 fairs to date
  • Provides career services to 56% of the total student population
  • Proven track record of successful fulfillment of employers' recruiting needs
  • Supports annually over 600 Employers
  • Contributes to capacity building in the area of career services in Egypt
