Corporate Registration

What are the Regular Corporate Registration procedures?
Fair Registration Steps

  1. Please go to CareerWeb, AUC’s web-based career management system and create a corporate account via: https://aucegypt-csm.symplicity.com/employers
  2. Go to Event registration tab and complete all the required fields
  3. If you are already registered on CareerWeb, please access the system with your username and password.
  4. If you forgot your username and password, please send an email to caps@aucegypt.edu or call 2615.3797.

What are the Regular Registration deadlines and relevant fees?

Save over 10% off the standard registration fee by reserving your booth before February 25th.

Booth Dimensions/Specs

What are the booth dimensions for all corporate participation levels?
Official Sponsor
Exhibit Area: 32 square meters
Style: Island Booth
Booth dimensions should not exceed the following dimensions:

Width: 8 meters
Depth: 4 meters
Height: 3 meters

Booth could be open from four sides. If applicable, the back of your booth has to reflect your corporate identity. For other benefits, please refer to the Sponsors Benefits or contact the Career Center on caps@aucegypt.edu

Associate Sponsor
Exhibit Area: 20 square meters
Style: Semi-Island Booth
Booth dimensions should not exceed the following dimensions:

Width: 5 meters
Depth: 4 meters
Height: 3 meters

The back of your booth has to be covered with a solid color. For other benefits, please refer to the Sponsors Benefits or contact the Career Center on caps@aucegypt.edu

Contributing Sponsor
Exhibit Area: 12 square meters
Style: Partitioned booth
Booth dimensions should not exceed the following dimensions:

Width: 5.95 meters
Depth: 1.95 meters
Height: 2.25 meters

Regular Participant
Exhibit Area: 6 square meters
Style: Partitioned booth
Booth dimensions should not exceed the following dimensions:

Width: 2.95 meters
Depth: 1.95 meters
Height: 2.25 meters

Can I put roll-up banners, backdrop banners?
Yes, within the boundaries of the booth only. No banners or roll-ups can be placed in isles or outside of corporate exhibit area.

Can I bring electrical devices?
Yes, electrical devices are allowed as long as it will be placed inside the booth. Equipment such as Plasma/LCD Screens, DVDs, refrigerators, chillers and other major equipment that need installation have to be installed by Wednesday, April 30 before 5:00 pm. The agency in charge MUST sign an Equipment Responsibility Form upon equipment installation.

Important Note: Only 1 standard electricity outlet will be provided per booth. No electrical multiple sockets are available. Please utilize for your electrical equipment, European plugs with 220V adaptors.

Is there wireless Internet access on the day of the fair?
Yes. Please ask one of the event organizers to provide you with a username and password for free wireless Internet access during the fair.

Corporate Representatives

How many corporate representatives are allowed on the day of the fair?
Depending on the participation level, each company gets a maximum of:
Regular Participants: 5 corporate passes
Contributing Sponsors: 8 corporate passes
Associate Sponsors: 10 corporate passes
Official Sponsors: 12 corporate passes
Employer Partner: 3 extra corporate passes in addition to the participation level corporate passes

Who attends the fair?
Corporate representatives only who are coming to meet with AUC students/alumni to disseminate information about the company and its recruitment needs. The collected resumes for other than recruiting purposes is prohibited and will be used ONLY to place potential candidates by the attending firm.

Can corporate representatives alternate during the fair?
Yes, as long as the total number of representatives is equal to or less than the number of corporate passes received. A corporate representative must be available in the booth at all times between 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Employment Fair Agenda

When is the Opening Reception?
From 11 am to 12 pm

Does AUC offer refreshments?
Refreshments are served during the opening reception.

Lunch is served between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Corporate representatives can alternate to attend lunch as long as a representative is available at the booth at all times (from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm).

Can my company conduct interviews on the day of the fair?
Yes, please send an email to caps@aucegypt.edu with your request in order to reserve interviewing rooms.

Booth Setup

When can the companies start their booth setup?

Sponsors:   Tuesday, April 29 (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
  Wednesday, April 30 (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)
Regular Participants:   Wednesday, April 30 (9:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Can I set up my booth on the day of the fair?
Only if your corporate branding and promotional material can be entered by corporate representatives only as no support staff will be admitted to AUC on the day of the fair.

How can I access AUC on booth installation day?
Your name has to be communicated to the Career Center no later than April 28. You will enter AUC with a personal identity card and the security at Gate 4 will check your name on the corporate list.

Equipment Handling & De-installation

Which equipments are permitted on campus?
Company equipment such as Plasma/LCD Screens, DVDs, refrigerators, chillers...etc have to be installed by Wednesday, April 30 at 5:00 pm. The agency in charge MUST sign an Equipment Responsibility Form upon equipment installation. No Speakers or cameras are allowed on the day of the fair.

When is the de-installation process?
De-installation workers will not be granted access to the exhibit floor before 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 3. Support in material transfer from your exhibit space will be provided by zone.

Can I ship corporate material before the fair?
For companies operating outside Egypt, if you are planning to send any material to the exhibit by courier, please arrange for your courier service to handle any required custom clearances and deliver the material to AUC’s new campus at least one week before the event date. Shipments should be directed to the following address:

Please note that AUC will not handle any required custom clearances or courier expenses and is not liable for ensuring delivery of material in due time. The University will not be responsible for re-shipment of any left-behind material; should you wish to re-ship back any of the material you will use during the exhibit, make sure to arrange with the courier company to handle all logistics and payments on your behalf.

How can I access AUC on the day of the fair?
The Fair corporate pass is your access card to the fair. Please present the corporate pass along with a personal identity card at the entrance gate.

Which Entrance Gate should I use on the day of the fair?
Gate 4, followed by the Sports Gate

Where is the location of the Employment Fair within AUC?
At the ARTOC Sports Court

Where can I park my car?
Parking on the day of the fair is subject to availability through gate 4.

What are the corporate registration steps on the day of the fair?
Corporate Registration Location: ARTOC Sports Court
Each representative will be asked to present the corporate pass and a photo ID to be admitted on campus. Representatives will be asked to present their business cards for registration.
Important Note: All changes in corporate representatives will only be accepted from the Fair contact person or the contact designated on your behalf.

Policies

What is AUC’s smoking policy?
As an educational institution, the American University in Cairo is committed to maintaining a smoke-free environment on campus to protect the health of students, faculty, staff and visitors. Smoking is not allowed in any AUC building or vehicle including all the spaces within the exterior perimeter single or multiple occupancy offices, laboratories, classrooms, balconies, stairways, hallways, bridge connections, storage areas, etc.) of the structure; or within 6 meters (20 feet) of windows, air intake grills or entry/exit locations.

What is AUC’s photography/video taping policy?
The university policy does not authorize bringing cameras/video cameras to the campus. A university photographer will be available on campus to take shoots of the event. If you wish to receive copies of your corporate booth photos, you can make direct arrangements with the event’s photographer during the fair.

Please note that by participating in the Spring 2014 employment fair, you authorize the American University in Cairo to use photographs taken at the event in any publication, multimedia production, display, advertisement or world-wide-web publications for the university and its constituents. The company releases and forever discharges the American University in Cairo from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of photographs/images, including but not limited to, any claims for invasion of privacy.

How can I get my company’s fair photos?
Each participating company receives a soft copy of the photos taken of their booth during the fair. Companies could also make direct arrangements with the event’s photographer during the fair.

Is using sound systems allowed during the fair?
No. Public address systems, sound producing or amplifying devices, which project sound beyond the participating company’s space, or excessive operating noise that distracts neighboring exhibits are expressly prohibited. AUC reserves the right to restrict exhibits, which because of noise or any other reason, may detract from the general character of the event.

The Employment Fair is NOT a public event; it is restricted to AUC students and alumni by AUC university ID.
